NEWS - Winter memories
Q1 Lately, the thing that made you think that it’s winter already is?
When I went to the supermarket, and saw nabeyaki udon being sold (laughs). I bought and ate it (laughs). Aren’t the winter-limited chocolates out for sale? The supermarket’s shelves, unexpectedly they are best at reflecting the seasons. I said “lately” but, ever since summer I have always liked udon and ate it quite a lot. During the filming of “Code Blue” too, in the canteen of the studio, I will definitely eat udon and rice with raw egg for lunch everyday. I’m serious! (laughs)
Q2 The part of winter which you like, and the part which you don’t like are?
I used to be afraid of the cold in the past but starting from around last year I wasn’t afraid of the cold anymore. I think it is because I have grown muscles. But, I don’t really like winter…. I mean, because it’s cold during winter, don’t everyone curl their back and walk with their head facing down? That has a feeling of darkness, I don’t like it a little. But winter has a lot of romantic events ne. Towards that part, I would think, “As expected, winter is nice too~”!
Q3 Please tell us your valuable method to protect yourself from the cold!
Exercise your body. I think that way would make you warm the best. Although sticking a heat pack, wearing a lot of clothes is basically enough, exercising your body would warm you up immediately right. Burning up from your inner body is very effective (laughs).
Q4 The “winter scenery” which left you the deepest impression is?
Year 02 when I acted in “Long Love letter~ Drifting Classroom~” drama, the filming location was a huge island desert. The morning there was very amazing. The cold air was just like the white mist dazzling. At a place where there is nothing at all, that part, nature is very amazing ne.
Q5 If you become Santa, what do you want to deliver to your fans?
Lovely songs and dance. Actually, these are things that I am able to deliver in reality. Doing the concert tour, let me had this feeling. It’s really an amazing thing. We waved very happily, smiling, everyone’s face would also turn into a smile along with us. Seeing this makes us feel even more blissful, this is the best gift.
Q6 NEWS is holding a Christmas party! What kind of role will you be in charge of?
I want to be the Santa who gives out presents. I will get to see everyone’s happy faces too. I’d like to let Shige make the cake. Seems like his cooking sense is not bad. The decoration of the room, let Tegomass do it noisily. Ryo-chan will make the party dishes. Shige will be in charge of the camera too, because Shige’s hobby is taking pictures right. For the cleaning part, it feels like Koyama will say “Mo~ It can’t be helped~” while doing it (laughs). What will the Santa give to everybody? Shige will be given a camera lens. Ryo-chan would be a pick set. Tegoshi would be skull goods. Massu would be clothes. Koyama would be a wallet? We’ve known each other for 5 years, I would know straight away what they would want ne. I don’t have anything that I want ne~. It will be nice if I get to eat delicious rice. That’s right, lately I was able to make delicious pork kimchi, cho yabai yo (laughs). Maji Umai kara! [note: I thought he sounded cute here so I left it like that, “cho yabai yo” means it’s super delicious. “Maji Umai kara” means it’s really delicious!”]
