I wish you very very very good luck.
I didn't even know one could earn money from cosplay other than making costumes! Cosplay mags, events and stuff are all free in Spain, so no one earns money from that, I'm afraid.
I have friends who love cosplay, and two of them even want to participate in the WCS some day.
And I'm sure none of them even thought that they could earn money like that!
I really hope you get the perfect job!
And I hope they won't let you wait any longer, so you can rest before moving.

I've never known a company that was able to stay afloat solely thanks to cosplay, but there are things like magazines and web communities here that do pretty well for themselves. I'm not so sure about the events and whether or not they make money or just break even, but people are at least reimbursed in some ways for being guests.

I fear that it'll take me another month if not more to secure a job for after my move, seeing as I haven't even sent out any applications yet, only inquiries. But! I'm hoping for the best!

Goodness, I always intend to respond to these posts and then I wait five weeks to do it. >:( It seems that things are falling into place for you, and I hope it works out for the best! It's great that you got to meet so many people at that convention.

Thanks for waiting to respond, whether it was intentional or not.
After having sent out an application about a week ago for a job that I really want, I could feel myself getting antsy. It was good to have your reminder that Godspeed is still at work. ♥

Also, as an extra sort of yay, the guy I met that works for the World Cosplay Summit got back to me last week and invited me to be a volunteer worker for the WCS in August, saying that he could get me a ticket to see the main event! 8D
