Today was just so anti-climactic. My naturalization process timeline:

T-minus two weeks of my 18th birthday: my father gets his citizenship. I'm automatically eligible.

Early 2005: I apply for my own citizenship.

Summer 2005: interview! They tell me to bring a photo ID. I arrive at INS and they demand my green card and my parents marriage ( Read more... )

But now you're....not officially Russian! Er, that you weren't a long time ago!

Hey, what does this mean when you want to visit Russia? Do you have to get a visa? That would suck.

I still have a Russian citizenship. I just have to get my American passport and renew my Russian one and I'm good to go.

Not officially Russian, my foot....
