I have an aunt who is an academic, which, as many of you know, is also what I want to do. So she always has lots to say about the subject. One thing that she always talks about is that it's important to really love teaching. This is unfortunately my biggest concern. Interesting. I wonder if your "problem" is that you absorb concepts quite easily, but the skills you (might) struggle with lie in non-academic areas, which makes it hard for you to think of something you'd have trouble learning. Have you thought of trying completely different skills, like drawing, or perhaps childcare? I seem to recall that neither of those is quite your "thing".

If you're looking for something that you'd no doubt grasp sooner or later, but would nonetheless inspire you to saw off your own leg out of boredom and frustration, I recommend analytic philosophy. :)

In other news, I've decided that your personality type is INFJ. Have you taken a Myers-Briggs test before, and if so, am I right? :D I'm a new fan.

INFP, actually...I think I talked about being a "P" in a recent entry. It was an interesting discovery, as it was precisely the fact that I had to think about it for a week that led me to the conclusion that I'm not a J.

Analytic Philosophy, eh? Hmm...as for childcare, that could well be in my foreseeable future. There are shiploads of children here, which makes me quite happy. And I have neighbours, and yesterday I met a girl training to be a kindergarten teacher who frequently babysits and frequently needs other people to do so...

Um, you forgot to sign your post, so I'm only "fairly certain" that I know who you are...8053...
