I don't know about the background part, but I can help you with the friends banner. Since you already have it saved to Photobucket, all you need to do is enter it in to a journal update with these tags around it (just take out the *s): <*img src=http://img65.photobucket.com/albums/v198/obsessive_emochik/Saved%20banners/party.jpg*>

Then, it should show up as the picture on your friends only entry. If you need anymore help, you can IM me on AIM. My screen name is Fiume Caro.

Put that in your modify journal overrides box. Delete all of the little stars. I doubt I put enough stars in there to keep it from going into affect, so I'll try again if it doesnt.
