Instead, I have been catching up on some of the lead-up movies, since I haven't seen any of those either (because: oh my god, so behind on movies. You have no idea!). ...I have just been reading Thor comics so right now my brain is ALL LOKI ALL THE TIME (except that is not entirely accurate because while I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove movie!Loki very muchly in all his pathetic woobieness, my heart is truly taken by kid!Loki and his semi-redemption, rendered all the more painful because this is comic books and nothing ever lasts in comic books and the wheel will turn and he will be back to being evil...but now he is the cutest thing in the universe *sobs from the cute*)

--if you like manipulative Loki you should read his run as Lady Loki in the comics, which was a bit before kid!Loki and one of the reasons no one trusts him, because (s)he spent a good while then going around insisting he was reformed and honest while secretly conspiring with Doctor Doom and smirking a lot (so much smirking).

I also am trying to find good pictures to do a Loki=Izaya/Thor=Shizuo Tumblr thing because COME ON, I halfway wonder if Narita-sensei is a Thor comics fan...

Uuugh. I need to figure out a cheap and easy way to get access to comics because I would like to read some of this. I just... am not sure where to start looking. Because I have seen panels of the kid!Loki stuff on Tumblr and it looks utterly precious. But it's just so hard trying to figure out how to get my hands on it.

Ahahaha. Yea. I do recall Izaya getting compared to Loki at some point (although damned if I can remember when, I think it was some snide comment Namie made though) although I think that was more in relation to proper mythology than comic books. But oh god it is so true. Manipulative dickprinces. My favourites forever. XD

Well, the best kid!Loki stuff is in Journey into Mystery, these two volumes (and what's come after, but it's not out in trades yet). And also some in this and the volumes before it, which were just called 'Thor'? because comics are stupid. (There are also *cough* other avenues, let me know...)

Izaya is so classic trickster, not even in it for the evil, just the fun! Marvel Loki swings all over the place from wanting to rule and get revenge to more enjoying himself, but yeah, Izaya is closer to proper Loki (heck, considering he's never been absolutely confirmed to be human anyway...)

Ah. I will have to check the prices of those on the Canadian site and which would be cheaper, dealing with exchange rates or sales tax XD (although feel free to drop me a PM about those... other avenues. I do prefer to try things before I drop money on them and living as rural as I do library access has always been problematic for me)

(There will always be a part of me that side-eyes Izaya and wonders if he's a changeling of some kind. Because I will always have trouble believing he's human.)

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY You've made it! I had so hoped that you would make it to Marvel/Avengers/LOKI/TONY fandom.

Tony/Loki is my current ship, but I totally have a hard-on for JARVIS.

I still haven't seen Avengers so... you know. But from everything I see on Tumblr I very much see the appeal of Tony/Loki. I like the Tony/Loki. Although Tony/JARVIS is my OTP for life and I'm not even kidding a little bit about this. Because I love JARVIS a lot. I have WAY too many feelings about AIs and the whole "AI learning to feel" trope and... yea.

And now I'm thinking about threesomes. Awesome! :D

(although when it comes to fic and the Marvel universe I just read it. I'm really too busy writing epic length Durarara fic right now to even try and think about the overly complicated Marvel canon. Hell even the simplified movieverse canon is kind of daunting to me)

And I soo get it about the Marvel canon. They've got too many universes. Fic is rarely necessary, they swap genders, get married, get divorced, AU on top of Au.. all in canon.

What is up with Durara-.. uhm, the thing. I see it everywhere. Good series?

That is a perfect description of the clusterfuck that is Marvel (and DC, which is why for the longest time the only American comics I'd bother with were the ones Dark Horse put out) But fic is good for the porn. So there's that. XD

Durarara is a FABULOUS series. I love the hell out of it. Anime is good, the light novels are even better although there's only fan translations available and a lot of the books haven't been done yet and god knows if they ever will be. Although I never know precisely how to explain it to pimp it properly. It would probably be best to look it up and see if it would be a thing you'd like. But I personally recommend the hell out of it.
