It's amazing how easily people adapt to new circumstances. You come here, and at first it seems like it's so alien, so ominous that you'll never get used to it. A month later, escape attempts aside, everyone is living out their lives as if they've always been here.

I'm almost tempted to wonder how one can "buy" such abstract concepts as these notes tend to return. But, then I remember everything else that's happened since I got here, and it puts it in a bit of perspective.
