Petition...

As a paid user, I would like to support this, so please, any of my friends who are in the same age demographic, like me (ie; 30-40 age range) this would be of interest to you. I have been a solid supporter of LJ for nearly 4 years now, so feel that this petition is a good thing. I have no problem whatsoever with a younger audience at all - a lot of ( Read more... )

I think the most important thing is that LJ should be listening to the people that pay for their service irregardless of age. And they're not. We pay them for their service so we should have voice.

What I can't understand if they're making another journal site, why can't that one be for the younger crowd?

True, I agree with you there, as, if you pay for a service, then you should get equal treatment regardless.

Again, agreed, wouldn't it just be easier to make a whole new kind of LJ geared to a different crowd? *weird*

Absolutely, I think I was just a little perplexed that this change thingymajig appeared to be aimed at a much younger audience, and again appeared to not give much thought to us "oldies"! lol!!

I honestly have no problems with the whole age thing, just the fact that they seem to be intent on messing with something that has been working so well for so many years... :(

Hey, Jeannie! I agree with you wholeheartedly here -- I also have a lot of teens on my f-list, but regardless of age or demographic, we should all adhere to the same rules. I've been very staisfied with the way LJ has run before, and don't think too keenly on all these 'changes'.
