It is a movie, yes, and you should totally see it if you get the chance. Zooey Deschanel is absolute amazing as Summer. ♥ But really, thanks so much for reading it and I'm really glad you liked it.

I actually hated the film but thought Zooey Deschanel portrayed Summer really well and this was a nice little reminder of that best part of it.

Can I ask why you didn't like it? I didn't think it was OMG THE BEST MOVIE EVER, but I thought conceptually and cinematically it was brilliant.

I think I was expecting it to be something it wasn't. Like, everyone seemed to really hype it up and when I saw it I thought I was going to be blown away but I just wasn't.

I agree, I did think it was beautifully shot, like that scene where he takes her to look out over the city from his favourite spot. And I liked Summer's character a lot. I also think it had a really cool message in it too, like, sometimes the person you think you're meant to be with is really just a passing part of your life where you get to learn more about yourself and love and life in general. But at the same time I think it wasn't done the best way it could have been, you know? I didn't hate it but I didn't love either and it's not a film I'd want to see again.

But I'd most certainly read this stunning little piece again :)
