work really has it out for me. i've been working all week, pulling eight hour shifts nearly every day, and was supposed to work tonight. elizabeth, a coworker who has just returned from a two week vacation to italy (wow, right?), needed the hours and offered to pick up my shift. i said "yes, great, you're awesome" b/c a day off sounded wonderful.
