"Sithspit," he muttered, then turned on the light, getting out of bed and picked it up from the discarded clothing. It was the voice mail sound, so someone had called while he had been deep asleep, and only now the incessant beeping had brought him out of sleep.
Rubbing his eyes, he sat back on the bed and listened to the voicemail. Hearing Duncan's words, he instantly called the man back.

Then he pulled it away from his ear and saw the caller I.D.
"Face. Right. I did tell you to call right away..." Sitting up in bed, he rubbed the back of his neck to get the kinks out. "Look, I went back and there wasn't anything where I'd dumped the body. She wasn't an Immortal either, I can tell you that much. But I had a thought and went back to Lucid to review the old videotapes from that night."
He didn't need to say which night.
"Turns out there were three people there, not two like we'd thought. One was Lynn. One was the guy who took you." He paused at that. It was never an easy thing for him to think about, so he knew it couldn't have been for Face, either.
"And one was a man. I couldn't make out who, but they got in the van with Lynn, the van that took Aidan away. It's not much, but it's a start."

His voice had gotten a bit darker. he hated remembering that time and anything about it.

"Yeah. Hang on." Duncan got out of bed and fished around his trenchcoat pockets until he came up with the tape. "It's right here. Want to meet for some coffee later and I'll hand it over to you then?"
