Ah. It's normal for city fauna not to be easily tamed. If they could be taught easily, domesticated animals such as dogs and cats wouldn't look like they do, because selective breeding was introduced to make them safe for humans to keep.
However, this would also have been dangerous, as easily domesticated animals would make them convenient targets for poaching, and undoubtedly many rarer species would be wiped out if they could be easily lured even when they're wild! If that'd happened, early humanity would've experienced an explosive rise in the number of herbivores and prey-like animals, and as a result we would've bred too much to accommodate, leading to a food shortage and mass starvation!
Had it not been for animals being hard to teach, we may never have made it to existing today.
Under the circumstances, it may be safer to buy earplugs.

You don't hear anything but your own breathing after lights out.
