Katie is working in tandem with Phil to work out early pre-season practices and such, at least that was the plan last I picked up.

i'm encouraging my sister to play, but theres not much else i can do... i'm never in cincy when they have school, except maybe after xmas break...

related issue: are we going to revive OUR giraffes for a run at summer league next summer? i think we'd have to be in the experienced league, as so many of us have gone to tourneys in college now... it would be excessively sweet to have a team to play with over the summer again...

wow, completely forgot to answer the summer league thing, so yeah heres that story, no rec league team is able to have more than 5 people who have 1) Played more than one year of club or 2) Have travelled to tournaments other than YUC and Summer league ones... Yeah that second one pretty much kills us as trying to keep our team together in rec league. What I may do is if a St X UA team does come together I'm willing and up to 4 others who might want to coach or help them out could do so. Our one real chance of playing together is in experienced league, but that league is done by a draft. The best shot at that we have is if two people captianed a team, ensuring those two, and as many as could be drafted onto the team a spot, but theres no garuntee as to how it will turn out. I know I'll definetly be playing in the experienced league, and if you guys wanna try to be together I'm willing to captain, but unfortunately the CUPA community isn't large enough to let all of us playing in college go unnoticed. It may work some because not ( ... )

awesome, i've talked a little with phil, more with joel and the hale brothers as to what to do, but it's gonna be hard to have practice without players :-/ I'm the same way with being in cincy... makes sense, but maybe christmas break?
