A very wise man once said 'For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Like you I cannot understand how a message of love can be answered by hate. I don't think that most people understand that per the Bible that a sin is a sin is a sin and the majority of those sins are how most people live their lives today.

Another quote from this very wise man is "Not everyone who cries Lord Lord will enter into the kingdom of heaven" Just saying.

Oh and stop non religious heterosexual couples getting married in church since it isn't a scared union.

And is marriage copy-righted to them? People managed to get married long before the church was invented and can manage happily without it's help again. People are happy until organised religious tells them they are bad, sinful people for enjoying themselves and steam-rolls their version of what's an acceptable way to life. Most of the things that are an 'abomination' in the Bible were there for practical reasons - seafood was dangerous, gay sex prevented children being conceived and could be dirty if proper hygiene not observed - they all had a practical not moral base.

I really liked that part. It is incredibly insightful and very truthful. Your information about the practicality of these things rather than the morality being the issue is something I think most bible-thumpers are afraid to face and think about.
