Character name: Echizen Ryoga
Nationality: American
Age: 21
Rank: C
Appearance/Personality: Living most of his life depending only on himself, Ryoga likes to dress with a "street" style. You can usually see him in loose athletic clothing, in his favorite color, black. He wears his black-green hair unkept, but spends a lot of time making it look so. His tall, athletic build comes from Nanjirou, which Ryoma seemed to fail to inherit, and many have mistaken him for his infamous father. He has cat-like, amber eyes that soften his otherwise harsh, pointy face, and make his already-wicked-smile more mischievous.
Ryoga uses his looks and his acting talents to get him what he wants when he wants it. He has been very independent from the moment he realized that there was no one for him to rely on, and finds joy in manipulating others for his own ends. At the same time, he clings to the few things that remind him of the stability he used to have before his mother died, namely a necklace he had made for her for her birthday.
History: Ryoga is the illegitimate lovechild of Nanjirou and one of his fangirls from the year before he met Rinko. His mother brought him up by herself, after feeling cheated at the discovery that Nanjirou had gotten engaged to someone else. They lived an impoverished life, until she died when Ryoga was 11. As Ryoga's biological father, Nanjirou was required by law to take him in. Still trying to cope with the loss of his only true family, Ryoga frequently acted out at school and at home. He felt very strong resentment towards Ryoma, as he sees him as having the privilege and lifestyle Ryoga could have had if Nanjirou had married his mother. Therefore he would constantly tease and belittle Ryoma. One night, when he and Nanjirou had a particularly nasty fight, Ryoga ran away to live on the streets. He quickly learned to use his natural tennis abilities to make money from the people who underestimated him, and found it easy to trick others out of their money. However, he never had the money to hold up his end of the bargain, and found himself occasionally in trouble. When a rich older man saw him play, he asked Ryoga to let him sponsor him. With this new income, Ryoga spent most of his time flirting with his sponsor's rich friends and getting them to spend money on him. Happy for once, Ryoga let his betting get ahold of him, and when he lost a very important tennis match while on a cruise, his sponsor cut their contract short. Finding himself back on the streets, Ryoga turned to the only rich person he knew: Echizen Ryoma. When he heard that his half-brother was attending Lioncrest Academy, Ryoga decided to go there any way he could. Knowing he would never let Nanjirou pay for him going as a student, Ryoga faked his name on the application to be a butler. "Echigo" Ryoga therefore found himself as a new butler at Lioncrest, surrounded by plenty of attractive rich boys.
