I'm again starting to seriously consider getting a tattoo or two. I was going to get the phoenix holding the hebrew words for the phrase "this too shall pass" - but it's too complex, and the phoenix is kinda cliche and kinda gay so I changed my mind. Then I thought (and previously typed this entry about) getting like a bad ass black knight with ( Read more... )

black mage was always my favorite too.
magic AND can wield weapons, hell yeah.

nerd it up! i just got my first tattoo but its not too big, like 4 inches tall and 1 wide maybe? and its simple all black, no shading or anything. it still sorta sucked pain wise, but i think if i got another one i would go bigger and badasser since i know what to expect.

Yeah I saw your tat on facebook, I like it.

Also Black Mage can't wield weapons, really. He could hold small Hammers and Daggers, but he did no damage. Perhaps you're thinking of the Red Mage? Which is also an option but looks more like a tiny pimp then a wizard:

I am getting my tattoo in december as well!
I am surprised that you didnt post more dragon pictures, considering when I think of you. I think of your love for dragons and vice-versa.

Man to be honest I don't know about either of them. I always felt like if I ever got a tattoo it would be of some importance for the rest of my life. Because when I'm 80 I'll still have look at it all wrinkly and gross, lol. Just don't know if you'll love either of those in 20 years that's all. Bt its your call man.

I don't think it needs to be important for the rest of your life. It serves as a symbol of something that is/WAS important to your life at the time you got it. So in 20 years, you look at it and remember what it is and why you got it, not whether you'd still get it today.

i like the first one a lot. the shadow makes it look really good. don't get it on your calf though. calf tattoos have a tendency to look awkward and misplaced in my opinion.

not a big fan of the second one at all. looks like the cover of an angsty teen journal you'd find at hot topic. i just don't really like fairies. they're kind of cliche as tattoos and in general.
