My co-workers called me while I was in the middle of mail merging some congratulatory letters for the Vice Dean.  I was all irritated. "What?!"  I said when they called me.  So I get up and go into the conference room where they are and there's this very cute little cake, a pot full of daisies and everyone in the office standing around smiling at

I did dream something about mountain climbing in Tibet last night, and I think two of the people with me were Shan and Jared, but it's kind of fuzzy at this point.

There was something about a tent. And then having to hunker down together to keep warm. And...

And, yeah. Cake is always good, even if it makes me go postal with all that sugar.

Thanks! It really is cool when you totally don't expect anything and then something really special happens. I'd more or less forgotten about my birthday and hadn't really thought anyone at work would remember, so yeah. It was a very pleasant surprise!

Yep, totally cool! And TBH I forgot mine last year, as did the younger two who were at home. Eldest had been babysitting the previous night (she sleeps over) and it wasn't till she came home that the other two remembered, as she said it when she walked in, and asked them what they'd done! *g*

And yes, it's been a while. Been meaning to say hi, but just like with most of my social, keep-in-contact good intentions I don't and time ends up slipping by so fast. *hangs head in shame* Before we know it it'll be Christmas again and then another year will have drifted on by! Eep!

I totally understand. I do the same thing! I think the older you get, the faster time flies.
