So...a couple night ago Manda had a post up about the end of New Orleans. I've been on a bit of a break from current events so I had no idea what was going on so I called her and got the info on Katrina. Its ok...I'm feeling a bit better now. we have the technology...we can rebuild it...

My first though was of the Gerads (I probably mangled their last name). I was well aware that if they still live in the NOLA area they house they had been in all the time we knew them would have been pretty much been a lost cause in terms of hoping it went undamaged in anyway. My main concern was if they were all okay. I'm not sure if there will be any way to really know since we haven't been in contact with them in quite a while.

I will say this, however, I have little simpathy for some of the people still in the NOLA area, seeing as how they've declined every attempt to remove them from the situation, insisting it will get better in a couple days.
