careful what you ask for

So, for over 4 years now I have constantly been asking my managers why they didn't lay me off (they have had layoffs at least yearly since I've been there). I mean my whole job is to bring up what they are doing that needs to be fixed, and they never want to hear what I have to report. Thus it never made sense why they kept me ( Read more... )

Run.

And look for more work. Not necessarily in that order.

Today I came to the conclusion I am doing this all wrong.

I celebrated (drinks and fab dinner), danced alot, have been biking everywhere I can.
Then I freaked out about money, re-did "the" spreadsheet, let the housecleaner go and then spent today cleaning the house.

And that is certainly no fun. I think I'd like to take your advice.
