Something else, but nothing new

While trying to get everything else organized, I took a minute to diverge from to do list and actually watch a movie I hadn't seen: the "new" Alice in Wonderland with Johnny Depp.

aww. i was really diggin' the outfits. ;) Though, I will agree with the below, that the Hatter's expanded role was dumb. See, right before I watched this one, I watched the SciFi Channel Original Miniseries: Alice. It was a retelling of alice that was fundamentally similar to this one. only scyfy. or whatever. so, by comparison, it was decent. ;)

Alice in Wonderland was one of the worst movies I've seen in a very long time. I went in expecting a dark-ish retelling of the original (which would be awesome) and it ended up as some faux-Tolkienesque disaster where the Mad Hatter was some kind of insane Scottish Highlander with a claymore who then did a retarded break dance that sounds like it was named after some kind of unspeakable sex act. The colors were ugly, the CGI was terrible (except the Cheshire Cat turned out well), the story was freakishly awful, the characters were flat and boring; in short, it was one god-awful abortion of a movie seemingly aimed only at selling Hot Topic merchandise. Ugh.
