BACKGROUND
Name:Cynthia
Age:25
Interests/Hobbies: writing, reading, film, filmmaking, editing, recording and manipulating music and sound, hanging out with friends, team sports, experimentation, drinking and sex are also things I hear a lot about
Strengths/Positives: passionate, creative, independent, self-reflective, perfectionist, witty
Weaknesses/Negatives: cynical, opportunistic, obsessive, impulsive, single-minded, stubborn, tend to void feelings when they become overwhelming
What do you love?: grapes, engaging in my hobbies, getting a reaction out of people
What do you hate?: being waited on, waiting on others, getting no reaction out of people, when people refuse to let things go, riding in anything for an hour or more
Describe yourself in three words: brave intelligent flighty
In three words, how might other people describe you?: weird lovable scary
What are your worst fears?: THE FUTURE, and, well, failure, in a way
CHOICES
Frugal or Lavish: Lavish when I can afford to be, I like the people I know to have nice things, otherwise fairly frugal
Traditional or Unconventional: I sometimes pick and choose what 'traditions' to follow, but, uh, overall unconventional
Cautious or Impulsive: Impulsive, working on being less so
Fanciful or Sensible: Uh, both? Or neither...
Lover or Fighter: Lover, but I'll fight for it
Responsibility or Popularity: Depends
Reserved or Outspoken: Again, situational...
IMPERATOR
What do you think of the Senate and the "old ways"?: Respect them. They invented democracy and keep the tyranny of the emperors in check.
Of course you revere the gods, don't you?: I definitely think they're more human than some of the other gods, and deserve tribute, but not at the cost of the people's welfare. Only to enhance it. But I'd also be interested in exploring the other gods and religions of the world as well.
The people of Rome demand amusement. What do you do about it?: Give it to them. Wine, theatre, olympic sport...
So, how about those Greeks?: They could've been great if they'd ever unified. Thank god they didn't, otherwise they could've beat us.
What would you like to do in your free time as emperor?: Everything! Travel, orgies, have exotic pets, train with the military to stay in shape, maybe with kids, oh, yeah, that always goes over well, kids and weapons...
What would your legacy be? What would you want to be remembered for/as?: Managing to piss off or offend nearly everyone without ever starting a single war.
WAR
There is unrest in the frontier areas; barbarians are raiding. What would be your course of action?: Flank them from behind.
You learn of a revolt in the provinces, led by one of your generals. What do you do?: I laugh, because that's what I did just now, then I laugh some more until I am no longer able to think straight. No, but we are going to have to kill him. Sorry, still laughing.
Overall, how would you feel about your role as supreme commander of the legions?: Horrible, terrible. Like the Woody Allen of emperors, short reign, over-spending, cruel, tactless behavior, but once convinced otherwise, I guess "Pretty good." Not starting a war or losing casualties in war might count for something...
Anything else you think we should know?: Monty Python's "Life of Brian" > Gladiator, hell, I think History of the World Pt. 1 > Gladiator
