hahaha... well, good thing I'm not twenty-two anymore... :oP this post makes me sound like I own soooo many porn books. they're not porn. they're erotic literature... :o)
Turns out the third story was pretty good. Although completely unsexy, it was very funny. About lab workers testing out a drug that makes people fall in love. They all take it for clinical trials and orgying starts happening. Then they find out the effects are permanent and uncureable. And they basically end up falling in love with anyone they see at first sight and wanting to have sex with them.
I won't forget Taltos :D Feel free to whack me on the head if I do. (or spam me with messages to not forget until we see each other) and I'll dig up some Le Guin for you. (where'd I put them? D:)
TOM HOLT *makes grabby hands* I'd wanted to read Holt for some time. :D And I'll take Adams too :D. And Atwood if you can find her. *fist bumps you for being as disorganized as I*
about your short story collection: ô_ô er, what? THEY ARE CLEARLY POSSESSED BY EVIL DEMONS TRYING TO TORTURE US WITH BAD P0RN. IT SEEMS TO BE A TREND LATELY.
The climax of the second's story's story arc comes when (the climax comes... ha - ha! Get it? The climax comes ^^) the protagonist girl breaks her ribs, vomits and falls into a dumpster, and is fished out by an ugly old guy. He pushes a morphine pill up her ass and kind of half rapes her with his fingers as he is reading erotic poetry to her. Two lines of that kind is enough to make me want to vomit. DO NOT WANT.
Also "boring fluff" shouldn't exist, they're DOING IT WRONG. Fluff should be like cotton candy, sitcky sweet but oh so good.
Thing is, the actual writing isn't even that bad, it's just not interesting. I bet that author was asked to write a porn story by her agent and went "Oh well, I'll crank one out this weekend and send it in just to piss him off OH MY GOD HE ACTUALLY PUBLISHED IT THE BASTARD!"
