This is just the kind of thinking that we had in Britain in the 1970s. If the unions knew how to make jobs, perhaps they would be doing so - there is nothing to stop them forming their own businesses and finding out what it it like. But the biggest disincentives to starting businesses now are the shortage of loan capital and the enormous burden of private debt hanging over the US economy, which makes people reluctant to spend ( ... )

It's academia world now in America, and the whole world will suffer because of it. Real things are happening, bad things, and he wants to have another freaking summit seminar?

When did they ever solve any real problems at a college? It's all he knows, besides the fact that he really doesn't care whether we all go down the tubes because he doesn't live in the real world. Never did.

Yes, but not in the places (mainstream media - network and most cable TV, and the "big newspapers" like the NY Times and WaPo). I get my news from the internet, blogs & Wall Street Journal online as well as conservative talk radio. As do many of us around here. :)

But you know, polar bears falling off buildings in public service commercials are what we are countered with....
