does anyone else who watches lost sometimes want to punch jack, aka doctor hero, in the face? he is just so freaking pompous and thinks he knows everything and never listens to anyone else and never sees the plank in his own eye because he is so preoccipied with the splinters everyone else is running around with. no, just me? i'm curious ( Read more... )

i think you'd be better off in cancun. there's a lot fewer invisible mechanical monsters. and bloodthirsty polar bears.

(just kidding. i mean, i see what you mean, BUT)
what i really like about jack is that they made him such a real character. i think right after they crashed everyone was like OH YOU'RE A DOCTOR? GREAT, I HAVE ONE MEDICAL PROBLEM AND A BAJILLION OTHER UNRELATED ONES, YOU'RE IN CHARGE OF FIXING ALL OF THEM since he was the first one to take charge. so i can forgive him his occasional pomposity. har har. and i sort of like how every so often you want to roll your eyes at him. i feel like the writers do a really good job of avoiding out-and-out stereotypical characters. in all honesty i nearly always am annoyed with kate. i don't know why.

AAANYWAY i'm just now over halfway through season one anyway and i have to get back to watching BEFORE THE SUN GOES DOWN.

CAN YOU FREAKING COME OVER ALREADY.

i understand about kate. she gets WAY MORE BEARABLE in season two. less all up in the 'biz and drama. and yeah, don't watch that stuff alone!
