Marvel-verse does have canon about Sif's hair, actually. Basically the same deal with Loki and the hair cutting and Thor going NOW SEE HERE until Loki gets her some replacement locks, which are pure black, because they were paid for with nothing and so are made of nothing yada yada etc. Sif and Jane are also both love interests and that gets confuddled in the typical body-switching way of comics-verse.
Also also! The whole thing with Loki as Odin's adopted son from a slain enemy is true to comics-canon. [/geek]
Ffffff I had the exact same reaction, but I refrained from growling at my sister about it. I promised I would behave :|
Yeeeaaaaaahhhh. That was pretty much me telling myself that for most of it. Except the whole Bifrost thing, which I found cool. I whispered to my sister lots about that. BUT GOD CANON. God canon. It will forever live in my heart.
Also, I now feel the need to have my Thor get hit by a car at least once as a nod to this movie. Stop me. Please.
I think I was thankful to not be too familiar with Norse myths. Well, Thor's torso suitably distracted me. Why do I have such a weakness for strong men with killer muscles. Nghhh. *facetable*
I quite liked Loki as well, and indeed I was second guessing him all the time. I kind of wish the movie was longer though, I would have loved to see more of everything. I felt that it moved too quickly.
Hnnnng I was SO DISTRACTED it didn't matter how much a geek I was. Sister and I squeed and ha'DAMNED all through those scenes.
I really do like their Loki! Probably one of the best comic book villains I've come across yet. And yeah, it was a lot really fast, but I have the feeling they're gunning more for that Avengers movie than anything else. They just wanted to give the audience a little of Thor's backstory before throwing him into the fray with well-knowns like Hulk and Iron Man.

I AM GLAD YOU KNOW THESE THINGS I don't have the patience to read the comics yet. I might some day. Which is not today. Or tomorrow.
