Thank you so much for posting this (recced to me by viva_gloria. I'm sure I've dabbled in Inception but this is the first full-fledged fic I remember reading with full consciousness (hah). I'm not 100% in this fandom so much of the nuance escapes me and all the twists and details made, in fact, my head hurt but I decided not to worry but just to zip on through the fic which is phenomenally well written. The twists wot i didn't get just add that special something that makes it feel deeper than what I read, and I love the elliptical style where things are hinted at but not spoken. The prose is gorgeous, not at all sentimental, and too pov'y, just right.

The Jack of Hearts was squee.

Jsyk, this is fucking brill.

Everybody's so rich, and deep, and believable. One of the magical things about the inception fandom is the opportunity to weave brilliant cons and heists and complicated mechanations in with your normal fare- the smut and the relationships building everybody does- and you really stand out from the crowd. The little details of how well they know each other and relate to each other.

I really hope your next part comes out soon :3

Great stuff. Inception is such an elegant and thought-provoking universe and you really ran with that. That said, some of the innovations the characters came up with the first story kind of went over my head. Can you summarize?

-Ariadne thinks up remote dreaming
-Yusuf figures out how to make it work(?)
- Eames comes up with ... something?
- Saito stands around being rich and mega-awesome?

Yeah. A little help/Word of God please? :p

Ariadne and Saito are working on a way to use memories in dreams without getting lost in them -- it's Ariadne's brain child, but she and Saito bounce ideas off each other until it nearly works, although there are a few things that need tweaking.

Yusuf is working on remote dreaming. He hasn't managed that yet, but he has managed to make it so you can have more than one "dreamer" in a dream -- it's how they extract, or at least try, from both their marks at the same time.

Eames is now able to forge more than one person at once.
