Should I or shouldn't I?
I am considering, now just considering, making my journal Friends Only. I post a lot of personal things in here. But, I also like people to be able to read it. I don't want to be too elitist or anything. I have also heard that some people lurk on my journal but are not friends...I admit I do like the idea of having control over who gets to read

I think it's wise to keep the personal/deep stuff under a friends lock but any light hearted/silly/unimportant stuff can be left public. Personally, Friends Only journals are kind of irksome. I'd like to read SOMETHING on a person's journal before friending them to mine - something other than a picture saying how it's a private journal and abandon all hope ye who enter blah blah blah. Give people a reason to friend you. That is, if you want to continue gathering friends... if not, lock it up, baby.
