I read those books for the first time a few weeks ago, and I hated Daala (despite her being a female Imperial officer.) I enjoyed the trilogy well enough, but I never bought that there were any female admirals in the Imperial forces (no matter how good they were supposed to be,) or 2) that Tarkin would take a mistress (I want him all to myself!)

I never wrote any Star Wars fanfic; I quit inflicting that kind of torture onto the world long before. =)
