Because the problem with not having heath insurance is that when you think you might have to go see a doctor for something, you have no idea what to do

The problem with those clinics is the overall feel of them - they aren't as outrageous as a doctor's office, but neither are they as caring. If you have a local Walgreens - they might have a clinic, they are a little cheaper than a doctor's office and they may be able to help.
We have several Walgreens but I don't think any of them have a clinic. We're not a very big town.
I'm not overly concerned at this point. It's just what's going on is a bit similiar to of what happened to me freshman year of college and I'm REALLY hoping it's not that. Cause that ended up being this nasty abscess/infection that they had to actually do what was technically out-patient surgury on to fix...and I KNOW that will not be cheap at a real doctor's office. *not to mention I don't even have a fucking clue where my med records are...probably still at the office of my old Peds Doctor*
Sadly according to that website the closest one is in Arizona or Texas...and I can't really drive 8+ hours...the gas alone would probably amount to the cost saved.
But thank you for the helps. I'll just have to keep puttering away on the google machine for an answer.
Eek. I know how that is. :( I have insurance now, but for a long while I did not. I went to the community clinic and they had me fill out an income form to determine the cost of the visit. I've had good and blah experiences at the comm clinic, but I suppose it's better than nothing?
It's all good, it seems to have sorted itself out on it's own. But it's good yoknow thesethings incase next time it doesn't. Seriously, I'm not even sure I know where my medical records are anymore... I rather assume they're still at the office of whatever doctor was my last "pediatrician" when I was on my patents insurance. (As a grown u maybe I should be more on top of this shit.)
