Hello most bare bones regurgitation of head canon ever. THESE ARE MY THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS I have developed them over a year so I should really write them down BD;;;;
Dear Potential Zants: I am pretty flexible on most of this. Let us merge our headcanons ~together~
I... um... hnnnn. Don't look at it sob /)n(\ I need to dig out that script and go over everything again lalala.
- Doop doop Midna is not related to the current king and queen of the Twilight Realm. Or just King or just queen.
- There is a king/queen whatever! 8U There is also a council that is kind of like England's parliament. They make a bunch of decisions like who will be the next ruler, who's gonna get banished today, etc. etc. The royally royal dudes have the final say on things though.
- Zant and Midna are both from various parts of the royal family. I imagine Midna is from some random duke's family or something.
- Midna thinks Zant is a total creeper oh my god. She's a little afraid of him since he's just such a random card.
- The council chose Midna to be the next leader in line since Zant is a total creeper, greed in his eyes, etc. etc.
- Ffffoooo I have not found a good reason for her to have both forms yet sob. Maybe Zant cursed her a little bit? Ffffuuucen plot what did I do to you.
- The Mirror is still intact. When the Spirit Temple log happened at SBG, Pix and I established that it is just sort of hidden in the depths of the sand sort of near the Spirit Temple. Ganondorf hadn't known it was there prior. It had not been Midna's first time in that general area.
- ...Ffffff what else was there 8|
- How she originally met Link at SBG was that he had helped her out her freshman year when she was really sick. This can be debated with future Link appers, depending on what they want to do. I am not sure how much of the previous Link can be retconned at this point since he only left three months ago. This is up for debate!
- Zant hasn't tried overthrowing anything yet, but it certainly wouldn't surprise anyone <8|
- Midna doesn't like that the Twilight Realm is either unheard of or has a bad rep. She also wants to try and understand people in the Light Realm so that she can better diplomatic force when she officially ascends the throne.
- She is officially a Princess. While not officially able to make laws or anything like that yet, her opinions mean business and is very persuasive.
- Officially replacing the current rulers completely probably won't happen for a few years, but she'll be Super Officially Crowned once she returns from school. The first few years would be like Extreme Queen Training.
