when people say "morning" to each other it is assumed that they mean "good morning"... maybe that's why i just say "morning".. 'cause mornings just aren't good anymore

Indeed.
Morning is when you stop sleeping and start doing things. This by definition is a bad thing. For a morning to be really good, it has to occur in the afternoon. Then things can start off right.

mornings to me this summer have been mostly afternoons, thus good mornings, but now that i'm a working boy at a dead end job for the remainder of the summer mornings are whenever i have to go to work and suck a lot, tomorrow morning starts at 1, oy

1 in the afternoon? just think about going to work at 7 every morning and getting out at 3:45... ;) or even leaving your house at 6:20 and getting back at 4:30ish..
this is a good morning.. i'm happy and it's really weird.
