I assure you Mr Macmillan, I am quite qualified. Given the dismal track record of Defence professors at this school in the past few years I should think you would be pleased to have someone with practical skills and years of knowledge. I got an Outstanding on my Defence Against the Dark Arts NEWT and was one of Professor Moody's star pupils. Beyond that, shouldn't you have faith in the Headmaster's decision? He does know best, after all.

I did not mean to be insulting, if I was, Professor. I just take my education very seriously. I'm sure the Headmaster has our best interest in mind, and you do seem to have more credentials than other Defence teachers we have had, so I look forward to your lessons.

Thank you, Mr Macmillan. Five points to Hufflepuff for being sensible as well as intelligent. Perhaps you could give Miss Granger some lessons.

I was looking for a book to read between revisions. This'll do for now, I suppose. I don't feel like sticking my head down there again; it was rather dusty and dark.

Be careful. I think there are some anthropomorphic socks under there.

Have you lot ever considered cleaning that mess? I've walked by quite a few times and it looks like a dresser has exploded all over.

Eloise is certain they could get more people for the position if they'd just take the silly curse off it.

It would be nice if there was simply a counter-curse for the position. It seems to be a bit more complicated than that though, doesn't it? Or maybe no one's tried.

I would think Professor Malfoy is capable of dealing with the Dark Arts, considering the background of the family.

This will most certainly make classes more interest, I should think.

And I'll trade you journals? Mine has chewed it's way through almost everything I own.
