I can vouch for the comforting properties of Hannah's biscuits, as well as for the soporific effect of a cup of Hannah's tea. Beyond collecting a load of alarm clocks I am seeking recommendations for a wristwatch that can be set to chime every few minutes--loud enough to wake the wearer--and that will work within the confines of our orange-red ( Read more... )

Ah! I had a watch like that once. It was quite... Yes, well, never mind that. Speaking as a no-longer-professor who just happens to be staying at the castle lately, I think you are better off sleeping a full night through, Mr Macmillan.

Quite loud, I hope! I am, in fact, hoping to avoid falling asleep during my NEWTs. Hannah so kindly presented this possibility earlier, and to take a page from Professor Moody's book, I only wish to be constantly vigilant. I'm certain I will find time for a few nights' sleep between now and the end of term.

Ah, I see. Well, in that case, I might be able to help you out. On the condition that you occasionally take a short break to eat some of your friend's tea and biscuits.

It's perfectly fine, if you need to tell a clementine from an apple. It's just rather unnerving in large quantities.

Thank you, Hannah. The unexpected nap was...unexpected, but pleasant enough, and I'm back on track now.

There is some small use for stress for certain types, though. A bit--but not too much--helps performance. You are right, though; I could not bear to fail now, when we are so close to the end.

I'd say something to the tune of why would the flames turn blue, when there is a sodzilla swimming in the lake, along with everything else, but I'd just be repeating myself. So I'll go with don't study too hard. I haven't talked to you in ages, mate, but I reckon I don't talk about N.E.W.T.s nearly enough, I don't.

I should have known. I ignored it at first, because it was just Parkinson being loud as usual. Then I realized that if it's loud, annoying, and/or dangerous, it probably belongs to Parkinson. My primary colour longing will be unfulfilled--the beast is secondary, even.

Right we haven't, and it's a shame.
