fic: Fill-In
Somewhat spoiler-y, since it references the season finale, so I'm hiding it under a cut.
Auggie is already pissed at the Identity Protection Division, but even more pissed when they blather about lack of manpower and short notices. Later, standing among a group of third graders, he's glad.
Of course, the first thing they notice is the cane.
"Are you like Yoda?" asks one.
"Nah. I need mine to see."
"Like how Luke needs to trust the Force so he can blow up the Death Star?"
Auggie laughs. "Something like that. OK, who knows who the Abenaki are?"
He's not sure how, but at one point someone jumps on him. God, he loves kids.
