Correlation proves nothing. Else, you'd believe everything in Michael Moore's "documentaries".

Discordianism has a similar tenet known as the Law of Fives. Summed up, everything has to do with the number five. This is medical fact. Fnord!

It's a simple matter of subtle mental manipulation; you pick a destination and then slowly steer your target audience towards it by giving them all sorts of correlations that are easy to draw, but without a causal relationship, mean nothing.
