Woohoo. In the last 24 hours I've had my medication stolen out of my purse at work, and my car was broken into.

Separate events. Same day.

Now I have no medication and I can't get more for two weeks because it's a controlled substance.

...I can tell you a funny car-break-in story if it will make you feel better?

And seriously, who in the fuck is getting into your purse at work to steal meds? They need to be slapped.

Sure, I love funny stories. <3

I took the medication at work (that's when I take it) and put the bottle back in my bag. When I got home, it wasn't there.

If it didn't happen at work, the only other possibility is that the bottle fell out of my purse when I was fishing for my keys in the car. Then someone saw the bottle sitting on the seat, got in my car (the car is old and the driver's side door lock is broken so I just don't keep valuables in the car) and rummaged around to see if there were more.

I don't think it fell out, I'd have seen the bottle when I picked up my purse to take it out of the car. But I guess it's possible. My car has been rummaged through at least twice in the past. Nothing's ever been taken, because I don't leave anything in there. But still. It feels like a violation anyway.

I JUST had that prescription filled, that's the kicker. I'm so pissed.

I don't blame you for feeling rather violated; I would too. I really hope it just fell out, mostly because I'd like to believe nobody would have the almighty gall to root through your purse at work, but my cynical side says that involves too much faith in humanity ( ... )

Pfff who the hell even takes CDs these days. Nobody buys CDs anymore. Damn kids and their internets and digitizers.

Thieves are like magpies. They want shinies and treats. Checkbooks? Naaaah.
