you need a new one, whats happening is commonly referred to as "bleed" from one channel to the next and Im sure that you know its unacceptable. What kind of mixer do you have, I may be able to make a recommendation. Though adjustable crossfaders (depth wise) are a characteristic built into the mixer more so that the actual fader itself so you may not have luck on that front. Or you can go hungry for a week and buy a Rane Mixer. . . you'll never have a problem again. ~ends sponsorship message~

yeah i know, everyone is jocking rane, i shoulda just got one, ok im using a stanton rm-100, an im totally happy with it but the crossfader this week has gotten weird on me, an no the channel bleed is definatly not fucking exceptable, it seriously will sound like shit every once an a while. i may sell it for like 400 an drop another 300 on an allan an heath xone 32, which is what i really fucking want, but in the meantime i really need a new one, tho im told its better to mix without it, using just the channel volumes an eq.

see i bought mine new, so if i were to replace the fader it seems to me im just going to have to replace it again in a few months, either that or be "gentle" with it, an thats just not gonna happen.
