Billy's father often had business trips, so that was no surprise. But when his mother said that she was taking his younger brothers to North Carolina to visit his grandmother he was shocked, to say the least. He had begged and pleaded not to go. Teddy hadn't had anything planned for Halloween. It was just another day for him...though watching the kids wander around in their little Avengers' costumes was pretty entertaining. He was actually enjoying the the day by sitting in the park and catching up on some work for class when his cell pinged. Okay, so maybe he was a bit too excited to get a text from his boyfriend, but he was totally allowed to be.

He packed up all his work then headed out to the street to catch a taxi, telling the driver the address of the Kaplans' townhouse. It wasn't actually that long of a drive, about 20 minutes with last-minute Halloween traffic, and as the taxi parked, he handed the driver his fee (with a generous little extra) before he got out and headed for the door.

Teddy rang the doorbell once. Then again. ...And again.

He abandoned his toast the second his cellphone buzzed across the island. Moving over to it and picking it up. Smiling at the response, okay so it was a lot crazy. To be so excited. But, you know. It was always like that when Teddy was involved.

[Cool. Cu when u get here.]

He popped the toast into his mouth quickly before moving to the mirror in the hallway. He drew his hand across his body, his pajamas shifting into a new outfit. Frowning at it, doing it again, changing into something else with another blue flash. Decided that one was even worse and changed again, finally settling on something simple yet, good looking. Then when the door bell started ringing frantically he laughed, letting the other ring just a couple more times before moving to the door to wing it open.

"You're lucky my moms not here. You know she hates it when you do that." He teased moving aside so the other could come inside.

"Oh whatever, your mom loves me. Can't say I blame her." He gave Billy a smug look, dropping his bag by the door, and then...then he grabbed his boyfriend, wrapping strong arms around his lean waist. "I missed you," Teddy said, kissing his ear with a happy sound.

"We just saw each other on Friday before school let out." Though the second the others arms were around his waist his heart jumped into his throat and he sighed relaxing against the other. "I missed you too."

He turned his face so that he could kiss Teddy's cheek happily wrapping his arms around the others neck. "And she might love you but she doesn't love when you act like a total dork."
