1) High! Besides being a cannibal demon (with whatever spiritual energy he gains from that, considering his demon is a) a mythological god and b) gives him magic powers), he's also implied to be psychic in canon.

2) I think it'd be fun! I would need to figure out what exactly the effect of draining a cannibal demon would be though, so if he's thinking about it, please give me enough warning to figure it out. My guess is that it would just make him VERY HUNGRY, but that also has the potential to drive him...well kind of berserk except berserk is something else in his canon.
