-i don't understand love & i hate movies, books, etc. for making it something i feel will never happen to me

personally, i hate movies/books/tv shows that make love into this feeling that has to go a certain way. where love has to be this big spectacular wonderful extraordinary thing, which it is, but its portrayed as this [ tragic- in one sense or another ] love story that has a happy ending. yet it is rarely portrayed as just two people in love; and thats it.
