[The roof is where Sasuke comes for peace and quiet--to sit with his tuna and tomato on multigrain bread and forget that the rest of the world exists for a while

[The minute Sasuke had made the suggestion Naruto set his heart of aquiring a violin for Sasuke.
It was the reason he'd been sneaking around near the music room - and he'd promtply gone hunting for the littlest Uchiha. He kicked open the door to the roof terrace, arms full of violin case.]
There you are! I've been lookin' like everywhere for you dattebayo!
[The look on Sasuke's face makes his own capsize, and in juggling the violin and his free-school lunch he almost drops it, looking up at Sasuke with wide eyes, clearly waiting for a telling off.]
[...sigh. Technically, since he's a student, it's not stealing--and it would feel good to play again.
He puts down his tuna and takes the case, opening it up and crouching next to it. There's resin inside, and he tightens the bow and begins to apply, the movements smooth and natural.]
[The roof is actually where most of the interesting things happen, but Temari doesn't expect him to know that yet. She's sneaking along the side, ready to grab Sasuke and pulls his sleeves up.
She isn't sure why she even cares- harming yourself seems really stupid to her, but he isn't her friend or anything. Maybe, in part, he reminds her of Gaara a little. Plus Temari sort of respects him (if she ignores his prissy attitude) for, well, not running off and crying after their Tumblr 'conversations'. Not that you could ever get her to admit this.]
sorry, had to edit out the 50 zillion usages of "himself", orzimwithdobeSeptember 28 2011, 04:02:33 UTC
[Sasuke, meanwhile, is on the defensive--he's caught himself holding his sleeves to his palms more than once; he might as well have been flashing a beacon proclaiming "I HAVE SCARS"--and has had to force himself not to turn around, hollering, at every little noise.
As a result, he manages--with a great deal of verbal abuse inside his own head--to decide that he's hearing things, when he actually picks up on Temari's footsteps. Scowling, he tears into his sandwich and tries not to pay attention--contemplates asking his psychiatrist to increase his dosages.]
[And it hits almost as soon as he says it that it's as good as confirming her assumption. He keeps his arms folded over his chest, sandwich forgotten, as a last-ditch defense.]
What part of mind your own business did you not understand the first time.
[There is one thing about this place, is that everyone hides up here. So you're now in Gaara's favourite hiding spot, Sasuke.
Which he will communicate to you by glaring. A lot. He doesn't remember what happened to feel bad, since no one has pointed out who he attacked and he hadn't.]

You know, if you hadn't been so defensive, I wouldn't have bothered looking for you.
