[He yelped when he heard Sai, eyes widening and instantly spinning to look at him, hand clamping over his mouth.]

[Sai is quickly learning that whenever he comes across Naruto, his reaction is always something new and different. He just stands there, giving him a confused look]

[The hands drops, and he takes a deep breath before looking back around the lockers at Sasuke.]

I don't wanna talk to him...

[He's not really sure how to talk and be around Naruto. But... he knows that particular haggard look. He'd had it himself all that many times. He was trying that whole 'people aren't all going to stab you in the back thing' so he could at least offer some relief. Even if he approach was careful.]

... Do you need some water?

[Still or not - Naruto still jumped when he heard Gaara from beside him, a sharp intake of breath and he lifted his hand to cover his mouth, whipping round to look at the other.]

Whoa-- Gaara. Ow. What're you doin'?

[he frowns for a second, then it's just with a confused amusement. Naruto had to be the jumpiest person he'd ever met. Then he realised he probably hadn't given him much reason not to be, around him at least. So he carefully pulled the water bottle out of his bag, giving his intentions in full. ]

Water? Would you like some?

[It's weird, watching Gaara pull something out of his bag and feeling that sense of deja vu, not just because of their last encounter.

When he sees water he lets his gaze flick back up to Gaara's face, eyebrow arching.]
