[Funny thing - despite being a Slayer, back home, Melaka actually lives in a library. That's why when she finished patrolling, she opted to come here in the middle of the night to see if she couldn't fins Watcher diaries. She didn't, of course, but she did find a number of books about modern day Earth (well "modern" - over two centuries ago for her) and she's trying to read it. Even if the Old 'Merican it's in is frustrating.

And it is for this reason that she fell asleep into the face of a book like that, right at one of the only free library tables wouldn't you know]

[... Luka knows the feeling of paper covered with ink against her cheek as she sleeps. Just as well as the feeling of the keys of a keyboard against her cheek. The book is always more comfortable, but not enough, every time she fell asleep studying or doing homework or a project, sooner or later her mother would go check on her and help her go to the bed so Luka would wake up inside her warm sheets rather than at her desk. She has never fallen asleep in a library though and if she did it's probably her mother wouldn't have been able to go get her to bed, at least not without waking her up a lot
