OK, here goes - my 2 cents worth.

I have not seen the last 2 Doctor Who episodes - not for anything other than I wasn't at home Saturday  - either night that the episodes were shown.  And I really don't care. Not one bit.

Normally, I would be raving mad that I wasn't home to watch them.  But I find myself disconnected from Moffett's Doctor so badly ( Read more... )

I have been hearing this a lot =( The sad thing is that when people fall out of fandoms, they usually don't fall back in =/

That's a long-winded way of saying I hope Moffat is outta there by the end of next season. If the ratings continue meandering downwards, then hopefully that will be the case. (Also, the BBC makes most of their DW money from merch and I find it VERY hard to believe that the revenue is going up while ratings are stagnating/falling).

I feel the same way about 11 and the last few episode.
I've watched them, but I haven't felt that thrill and the desire to watch it.

I hope Moffat goes as well, and I hope I can find my love of Doctor Who again, I hope you can too! :D

FWIW, I am thoroughly enjoying Smith's Doctor, and my kids adore him - more so than Nine or Ten. I'm not going to get into the why's because I'm no good at meta and I'm not likely to change anybody's mind anyway.

But this post on the ratings seems to indicate that Eleven's ratings are no better or worse than others:

Also, these numbers only include the UK ratings, and I do know the US ratings have been off the charts for BBCA.

*Shrug* YMMV; I know Eleven isn't everyone's cup of tea, I guess I just wish that people recognized that Who has been around for over 45 years due to its ability to adapt and change. This era is different. Doesn't mean it's better or worse.
