I'm getting almost tempted to address the personification of this city and ask it why it feels the need to continually force part of its occupants to relive the past repeatedly. It was unpleasant enough the first time around and no more pleasant the second.

Sheska, I'm not back for long but I thought I'd make a brief visit back to tell you that I've sent your letters out. The Elric brothers are well you'll be pleased to hear. Riza is still back in Amestris, awaiting for my return at the station. So once I'm sure things are well here with you I'll be returning to her. -

It would seem that what they say is indeed quite true. The original plans never survive first contact with the battlefield. Such was certainly true for my young ideals, broken as they became on the field of war. How can one aim to protect an entire nation when it takes so much effort to protect a such a small handful of people ( Read more... ) -

Lieutenant, I think its time we got serious on the subject of our observation of this place. I think we've pretty much covered everything within walking distance of the apartment, so we should begin thinking of deciding on a direction to advance in and move on from there until we've covered as much of this city as possible.
