Looking for 7/1 lease or summer sublet? Know someone who is?

So, laura47's friend who will be replacing us has a flexible move-in schedule, and would be willing to take over rent starting August 1st.

This left John and I open to look for 7/1 move-ins so we have a month to move-in.

And, miracle of miracles, the apartment below us is opening up for 7/1.

[UPDATE 5/24] SO WE'RE TAKING IT.

It's a 2-bedroom for $1600, and we already know and like the landlord.

I've sent some emails out to people who expressed interest in the past, but they are all just finished graduating and so I'm not sure they know what their financial situations will be in July.

We've been inside. While it isn't the luxurious mansion our current apartment is, it's still quite nice! Nice bathroom, definitely eat-in kitchen, nice sized bedrooms. Will post the pictures soon.

The details:
Cross-streets: Lowden and Broadway (Powderhouse Sq)
Distance from public transport: 15min walk to Davis, 20 to Porter. John does it in less time, but I'm slow and he has long legs. 89 and 80 bus right on our corner, 5-8 min to 94 and 96 bus.
Bedrooms: 2
Baths: 1
Rent total: $1600 (does not include utilities) You: $600/month, no security/broker's fees, only first month due at lease signing.
Lease starts: 7/1
Laundry: landlord owns a laundromat that is literally two houses down from us.
Parking: No off-street parking, as far as I know
Pets: we prefer none.

I really want this to be the most convenient move ever. Won't need a truck, won't even have to properly pack, will just bring my stuff down in armfuls. Now we just need a third person to make the financial part a cinch.

So, please please please, if you know anyone who is looking for a July lease, or even a July - August sublet, please let us know. If you are looking for a 9/1 move-in, we are open to that, but you'll get special consideration if you can help us find a July & August subletter!
