That's what I keep trying to tell them.

I guess it's tricky to remember. Everyone misses their friends.

Yeah, I don't think it helps that people are selfish and want them to stay here with them -- not that that's a bad thing, I mean, I would be, too.

It all depends on the person's history back home whether it's good or not.

Hard to imagine anyone having a worse fate than this place.

It is hard to believe, but...there are people that have it worse.

And if they have it worse where they come from they can always try to find ways to improve things-or-die trying. Here we're just kinda...hanging around. Dying and coming back. Get's real stale. How people don't succumb to depression and ennui more often is beyond me.

What if they go back and die hyahaha! That would be sad. [She doesn't sound particularly sad. And irony of ironies: that's her situation she just doesn't know it.]

...Yes. Yes it would be.

But. Kanon agrees. She has things to do and this place is boring.

If someone goes back, so what? It's not impossible to live without them. Kanon would be jealous more than anything; the selection process isn't fair at all.

We got no control over the selection process. Sometimes I wonder if the Scientists even have one or if they just send us back when they feel like it.

Yes.

...It should motivate others to be focused on returning too.

You'd think so, huh? But nobody seems to worry about that much. Going home, I mean.

....If more people continue to return home, then perhaps their minds will change.

Not for everyone.

I think even if you were going to die back home it's better than being here where even in death you cannot escape. But maybe that's just me.

I'd rather have the chance to live.
