It would depend on their circumstances before arriving here.

Yep, there goes that parrot chorus again.

It is true though. Death is hardly a welcome thing to go back to.

And neither is being trapped here without even death as an option.

You can find things some here that you wouldn't be able to back home.

...and, well... vice versa. Definitely.

We should think about trying to find ways to follow 'em outta here.

How...?

I mean, is there even a way of getting out of this city?

There's a whole planet out there. I've been pretty deep in the forest, myself. Some people have been in the mountains. It's possible to leave, we just don't have the means to get very far...yet.

Not in every circumstance. I would agree that it would tend to be that way for most, and for those who truly wish to return home, I rejoice.

For myself, I would prefer to stay. There is always a chance to make something out of these ashes, so long as I continue to live. There is purpose here for those inclined to seek it.

But you have no control over going home. If you woke up in the morning in your old world would you use the knowledge you gained here to improve things?

That would be quite impossible for me. I am dead in my own world.

But then people would lose things to whine about.

Guess we can't have that.
