It went against every instinct to follow the sound of that shout and not stop to arm himself. He winced and sighed. Teenagers. God help them all when Jenny reached that age.

"Are you injured? And what the hell are you saying?" He'd really like to ask her not to call him Johnny, but he suspected that would backfire spectacularly.

She smiled brightly at the sight of him, bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet.

"Nooo, I'm perfectly fine. I've just had like... four bottles of Bawls in the last, oh, ten minutes and I wanted to be entertained. Like, because, I so don't really know you and I want to and... It was Chinese. You don't speak it? What do you speak?"

"OH! I don't know that. Teach me sometime? It's my goal to reach fifty languages by the end of the year. I only have about twenty, maybe thirty with dialects though. That's if I count programming."

She spun around, grinning. "It's a drink of sugar and guarana. It's a gamer geek drink so you can play all night."

About the only thing Apollo recognises in the wailing echoing around the hallways is his own name and possibly John's.

And the fact that it's probably Chinese being called out. He knows Chinese, well, no, he recognises Chinese when it's spoken.

He follows the air disturbance back to the source, pausing to lean in the doorway when he finds it. "What are you doing, you strange girl?"

Spinning around, she pounces at him and hugs tight. "Just one of the men I was looking for. I'm bored. It was call you or harass Winter until he knocked me into next week. I maaaay have had caffeine too."

He hugs her back, holding her off the ground. "Hey, sweetheart. Ah, let's not harrass Nikolas, he's not well right now."

She gets scooped up and pushed up to his shoulders. "So, you're bored. What do you want to do?"

Laughing as she settled on that perch, smiling as bright as she could.

"Mmmm, horsie rides, apparently,' she snickered, sighing contentedly. "I don't know. I was going to bother Jenny but I figure she might get bored of that and so... I bother you."
