I like sitting on the top deck of the train; I think it's because I like looking down on people. Sitting directly below me was a biracial couple with a crying 3-year old daughter. My pod doesn't really respond at all to anything. I'm lookin' at a website that says it can back me up for a cost. If I wasn't already in a metaphorical debter's prison from seeing The Who, I'd totally jump on this shit.

What is the drinking age in Japan anyway?

People tend to think I'm stupid when I make them repeat themselves. I know the guy I worked with this summer did, but honestly, I can't hear nearly as much as I used too.

It all kind of reminds me of the first day of Junior High when I realized I couldn't read what was on the blackboard. Soon after I got glasses, I was shocked by how crystal-clear all the autumn foliage looked. It's like that scene in "The Giver" where the kid sees a colour for the first time. It highlighted how much vision I really did lose over such a short period of time. I guess if you don't pay careful attention to all your senses you'll never know how much you're gradually losing them.
